sims 4 won't open

Hello! I recently installed the sims 4 to my PC.

After everything was done installing, the game will not launch. I do not have a sims 4 either. The game continues to send me to origin whenever I click play.

I tried restarting my laptop and nothing.

I tried repairing the game and nothing.

I finally tried uninstalling and reinstalling again and still nothing. The game just doesn't launch once I updated.

Is there any possible way where I can fix this?

    Hello! No I am not.

I redownloaded the game on my pc but the game just won't open. The sims 4 folder hasn't been created yet.

    Tried this! Didn't work 😢

  • @Meuja  Don't worry about the late reply; it isn't a problem.  Also, this site's virus scanner is back online... for now.

Please run a couple of basic checks on your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, and run any pending Windows updates: hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the button to check for updates.  If any updates install, restart again when you're done.

If this doesn't help, please let me know whether any of the other steps in the guide I linked earlier had an effect.  In particular, try completely disabling your antivirus, if you haven't already—it's often not enough to merely set exceptions for the game and Origin.
