Sims 4 won't run after update

Hello, I have been playing sims 4 perfectly fine on my laptop since the day it came out. But after I got the update today, it says my video card is not compatible. Why is that?? Until yesterday I could play just fine!

    Can you post your DXDiag?

Start -> type: DXDiag -> Save Information  www.pastebin.com

    More detailed description = http://answers.ea.com/t5/Titanfall/PC-Graphic-performance-issues-in-Titanfall-here-s-how-to-help-us/m-p/2454360#U2454360

    ----------------

First thought:  Possibly you have a laptop that has switchable graphics and for some reason it wants to use the Integrated Graphics that have outdated drivers.  I've seen Optimus (nVidia switchable graphics) laptops, if you update the Intel drivers it causes Optimus to flip out and not work right... so it isn't a bad thing if your Intel drivers are out dated I suppose.

Check your nVidia Control Panel 3D Preferences or AMD Catalyst Switchable Graphics if you have a system like that.

Second Thought:  Possibly something changed in the update and your old config files are no longer valid.

You could try RENAMING the Sims4 folder inside :

    C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\EA Games\Sims 4

We want to rename it because you may have save files and stuff in there you still want.  Renaming is a safe way to test because we can always rename it back  OR  copy the saves/mods/whatever into the new folder it creates

I'm having the same issue. I checked my drivers and renamed the file and The Sims 4 won't run from desktop and is greyed out in Origin. I copied down my DXDiag Information here: http://pastebin.com/XSMVM73w

Are there any further steps I should take to test it out? Thank you!

I think your Intel drivers are a tad out of date.. not sure if that's causing the problem.

Just re-read your message.  If it's greyed out in Origin, try closing Origin completely.  Make sure your connected to the internet and relaunch Origin.  If it's in 'offline mode' put it online.

I just reupdated my drivers (you were right, it had been longer than I thought), tried restarting origin and it's still greyed out and won't launch from the desktop. It was launching/running just fine pre-patch. Still not sure what's up.

Indeed, my laptop was using the integrated card. I changed that, (at I least I think I did) and the game still won't launch. I updated my radeon drivers and it did not work, either. Not sure what else I can try.

My video card is the ADM Radeon HD 7570m
