Sims 4 Won't Update or Repair

I tried to install yesterday's update and it timed out and threw up an error, neve made it past the preparing stage.  Then I tried to repair the game and it also gets an "unexpected error" and times ...

@lilnat_lomax  Please post a screenshot of the error.  Please also let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.

    I play in Windows laptop, I deleted all my folders (after backing up my saves) and turned off my antivirus it took 6 hours to get everything downloaded again but it was functional yesterday. I haven’t checked to make sure the update took but I’m assuming it did because I wasn’t prompted to update again.
