Sims 4 works only if I remove my saves and start from scratch

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have the Cats and Dogs and Holiday Pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game for a few days and then you'll get an endless loading screen, unless you remove all of the save files and start from scratch
What happens when the bug occurs? I can start up the game, go to CAS and all of the worlds but when I try to go into a household there is the endless loading screen
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to get into my household
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

For the past few months I have been having a problem where I can go into game, CAS and all of the worlds but I can't get into a household. I tried removing my CC and mods, reinstalling my game, and resetting my computer. Last week I tried removing all of my save files and I could finally play my game for a couple days until I received the endless loading screen again. I don't want to keep having to restart my game over and over again, please help me!!!!!!

    Hi @kayambyy

    did you put any of the mods/cc back into your game ?

    Do you have any files other then saves in your saves folder ?

    Yes I did put my cc and mods back into the mods folder and all of my mods are up to date. No I don't have any other files in my saves folder but its not that the game wont work because of it, its like when I remove all of the saves I have in the folder the game works smoothly with no lagging and no other problems until days later where I have the endless loading screen unless I remove them again.

    What happens if you leave all your CC/mods and play a few days without ? Does the issue also come back ?

    Atm, it sounds like something is corrupting the save over time so that you have to start a new one.

    When I try to play the game with no CC or mods in it, there is an endless loading screen again and it won't allow me to play the game

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
