Sims Can't Get Leftovers from Fridge

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Click a fridge, click "get leftovers" to try to get the sim to get a leftover serving of a meal.
What happens when the bug occurs? Either an image of a food serving that exists in the fridge appears in the queue but before the sim can route to the fridge, the sim resets OR the sim will reset before any image appears in the queue but the sound as if the activity has been put in the queue plays. The sim then does nothing until they autonomously decide to get food or I have to select the food/tell them to cook
What do you expect to see? I expect the sim to route to the fridge without resetting when I click "get leftovers" and get a serving of food from the fridge since there is food in the fridge to eat without me having to open the fridge's inventory and selecting "grab a serving". I then expect them to eat the food.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I noticed this after the most recent patch from 12/12/19 or 1.59.73.1220. on mac

Every time I try to get leftover food for the sim to eat from the fridge, even after I restart my game, even when I repair my game, the sim resets before routing to the fridge after I click this option- thus not eating until I tell them to cook or open the fridge inventory and select the "grab a serving" of a specific dish. This isn't game breaking but is annoying as I used to be able to click the fridge and get the sims food quickly rather than having to go through the motions of making them get a specific meal or cook when they don't want to. I haven't waited around long enough of paid close enough attention to see if they choose the "get leftovers" option autonomously with autonomy on. ( I have only tested this on my two young adult sims in my current save)
