Sims deleted after toddler update

Hello

I've been having problems with the new toddler update. I'm still able to make sims in CAS but as soon as I place them into the world, the sims are either deleted or I can't play them because the sim icons are missing and so are the needs, aspirations etc. Also, some sims I had in the world prior to the update have been deleted since the update.  

I have looked at the other post ( http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/Major-bug-after-toddler-update/m-p/5816628#U5816628 ) for help and repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, removed any mods or CC I had, but the game still didn't work. 

Is there any other methods I could try?

    Thanks for the reply 🙂 I have done a factory reset but the game still isn't working. There's now another problem where sims won't fulfil any interaction with other sims or with objects.

    Do you happen to have the Wicked Whims mod?  If so, you need to update it.  The old version was causing the sim icon and needs not showing up and them not being able to interact with anything.  There's also a known bug with the MC Command Center update deleting all pregnant sims if you have aging during pregnancy turned on.
