Sims four problems after trouble shooting, unable to save and frozen

We are having ongoing issues with Sims four. We are having ongoing issues with Sims four. We have spent several weeks searching and trying all of the options found online including deleting and reloading mods, Updating drivers etc.

The issues that we are experiencing are that the game stops being able to save when in create a sim mode.

(When you press open my library)

During gameplay whenever to into build mode buttons randomly disappear or stop working. None of the usual commands work. 

In build mode all the options from the bottom of the screen completely disappear. The buttons in the top right of the screen are still visible but do not work when you click on them.
The live mode button freezers at Green, and won’t work. 

we did have another issue where the buttons were different colours and did not show the correct symbols, after following all of the troubleshooting we found after researching on the Internet this particular issue has resolved but the others are still problematic.

    @7d4c8wsyvilk  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save, try to create a sim, and play in live mode for a little while.

    If you do see any remaining issues, please list them for me, and also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
