@dyslexicxduck As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

What should we do after? When I moved it to my Desktop, it started launching again. But my saves and my gallery are gone.
@hihiyoolacky You can start moving your content from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one. Start with your mods and custom content, if you have any, and test the files to see whether any of them are causing the problem. If you have a lot of items to go through, the 50/50 method can make the process much more efficient:

Once you've sorted through your mods and cc, you can transfer the contents of the saves and Tray (saved households and builds) folders, plus Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those. The rest can be discarded.
