Sims have their umbrellas open indoors during thunderstorms

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.47.49.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Seasons, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get to work Game Packs: Parenthood, Vampires Stuff Packs: Laundry Day, Kids Rooms, Backyard
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Each sim should have an umbrella and in the house during a thunderstorm
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims always have their umbrella open even indoors during a thunderstorm as if they are outside
What do you expect to see? They keep the umbrella closed indoors as usual
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Experiencing a strange thing during my sims game. My sims open their umbrellas inside but only during thunderstorms. I can't seem to find anyone else having this same problem, is this the new patch glitch?

    There were reports before the patch of using umbrellas indoors for rain but mostly when coming in from outside.

    Are they actively opening them when inside ?

    I have to say I am waiting to see what happens with those houses people have built using the split-stairs tutorial where you have to move a roof from another building block because it won't let you build one directly over your split stairs block.   I wonder if that will truly count as indoors for behaviour rather than cosmetically.  Did you build the house using any such little tricks?

    I wasn't able to duplicate this in my game

    Could you test a different house if that has the same issue ? Is it possible that the roof has a whole somewhere ?
