Sims keep going back to same spot

So I redid a house in the Sims 4 Pets and for some reason, as soon as a sim is done with whatever action, they walk and return to the same exact spot (right but the front door). I've tried to repair and update the game, but that hasn't fixed anything. I even blocked off the path to that spot, and they just stand closest to the wall. Why does this keep happening? It's getting annoying.
