@Kaitlen18 Thanks for the dxdiag, which shows a number of generic Windows update errors in addition to a couple of Sims 4 errors. For the former, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
For Sims 4 itself, restart your computer, wait five minutes, open the Task Manager, and let me know how much memory is in use overall. Then click the Startup tab and take a screenshot of what you see and post it here. I'm wondering whether some other apps are running at startup, even if you're not aware, and using RAM that Sims 4 needs.

@Kaitlen18 The Error 740 happened because you opened the regular version of PowerShell, not the one with (Admin) in its name.
- Kaitlen182 years agoNew Rookie@puzzlezaddict It says the same thing even when I open it under Admin
@Kaitlen18 Make sure to restart your computer before trying again. If it still doesn't work, please post a screenshot of what you see when you try to run DISM in "PowerShell (Administrator)," just like the screenshot from earlier.
