Sims still wearing cc after removing it?

So I installed a mod which messed up my game a bit - and I was wondering : if I remove custom content from my game and put it back in again will my sims from my library still be wearing it? I’m planning on doing the half and half technique to figure out which package is causing my game to corrupt.
