Could you try moving the family out and back in via household manager and if that doesn't help, try saving your house to the gallery/library and then bulldoze and replace with a new copy.
It's only that household. (I just remembered that when I started playing that household today that the door to the kitchen and the study window had been gone. I don't know if that could also have been caused by whatever is causing the cooking thing or not.)

After a whole lot of fiddling around I found out that the cabinets and range hood were blocking access to the counters and stove. I raised the wall height and the problem went away. I don't know why it started getting so weird about the cabinets and range hood when there hadn't been a problem before.
