Sims won't change clothing

Is there any one out there that can help me with my problem?  once the oblects have been downloaded into Sims Mod  how do I get them into the game so my Sims don't have to wear the same thing day after day.  The clothes are in the mod file but I go to play the game and I can't find the new clothes I downloaded for her.  In Sims 2 I could go shopping for the clothes at the mall and once I purchased the clothes and took her back home the new clothes were in the wardrobe.  I could not find a place to go shopping for her in travel.  I hop someone understands what I am asking and can help me with this  Thanks

You mean only one of the downloads you installed is showing up in CAS when you enter it through the dresser ? Sims 4 should have all cloth availble to you all the time.

Does the EA clothing show up or is that missing too ?

Which command are you using on the dresser ?

If I go to where my sims and just have her on where you can change her all the clothes I downloaded are there they just wont go inot the game wardrobe where I can change her clothes does not matter wehter I try sleepwear or formal they just show  sleepwear ⚽ etc.  when I go into where my sims is so I can change her or pick her clothes there is nowhere that says purchase this item of clothing  Hop  you understand what I am trying to explein  Thanks for your help  Oh I am not using a comand on the dresser just clicking onto it and then up pop the choices like sleepwear, active etc.

I'm not totally sure I understand you right but if you choose change outfit, you only have the options to change into what you gave your Sim to wear in the first place. There's no option to buy anything like in Sims 2.

What you need to do is choose Plan outfit. This will take you back to CAS where you can give your Sims a different outfit or add another one (there's a liitle + sign above the icon where you choose what kind of outfit to give them. Afert you did that, it becomes part of change outfit.
