Sims wont run!! Please help!

Hi!! so Sims hasn't been able to run for the past few days, it worked fine since the update so this is all very sudden ☹️ when I click to launch the app, a white screen appears and then it crashes back to my desktop screen. I have done absolutely everything from uninstalling and reinstalling sims 4 and EA to removing the mods folder.. I dont know what the issue could be.. I have restarted my desktop multiple times and have carried out updates on any files that needed to be repaired☹️ any help with this would be greatly appreciated!! I just want to play sims 😢

  • @aoife456x  The problem here is obvious: Sims 4 is crashing because the Nvidia graphics driver is crashing.  Since the driver is very old, please install a new one.  Here's the lastest driver from Nvidia:

    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/226798/en-us/

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and check the box to perform a clean install.  Restart afterwards and before doing anything else.

Additionally, please plug your monitor into the graphics card itself rather than the motherboard as you have currently.  Here's a diagram I like to borrow from someone else:

  • @aoife456x  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Hi, thank you so much for your response! I've tried playing in a clean folder and the same thing happened again :/ I have also tried repairing the game by clicking the manage button. I ran the dxdiag and here it is attached
