@delaney75 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict Thanks a bunch for replying.
I think I have it set to what you call a "clean folder" I have my old saved stuff folder on my desktop. The issues i had before, I got rid of all my previous games and such and now it's like I just bought it and never played...a virgin game. There is no saved content yet at all. I haven't gotten to the point to be able to start a game at all. Not sure what playing in live mode means...told you, I am not tech savvy lol (sorry!)
I did figure out how to run the dxdiag, I attached the file 🙂
Thanks! for any and all help! Val

@delaney75 The dxdiag crashed while running multiple times, and the report is missing a lot of info. This could be a fluke in theory, but there are also a few Windows errors listed at the end. So I would suggest going straight to a repair install, rather than trying the intermediate steps first. This is the cleanest version of Windows you can get without wiping your computer.

This shouldn't delete your data, but if you get to step 14 and are NOT asked to keep personal files and apps, back out and start over.
Once you've run the repair install, please try again to play, and if you can't, please provide a new dxdiag. Some of the missing information could be critical.
Please also link the HP download page for your computer. Go here:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/desktops
Enter your serial number, choose your OS (just Windows 11 is fine) if asked, and you'll land on the driver download page. Please link it here. That page doesn't contain any information about your own computer, just the overall model.
Live mode refers to when sims are walking around doing stuff, as opposed to Create a Sim or Build/Buy mode.
