sims4 switches to desktop by itself
my Sims4 keeps switching to desktop every few minutes and I have to manually go back to the game. please help. I can't play the game without this interruption.

do you maybe have a virus scan or anything of that kind running in the background ?
yes I do have a virus scan running in the background (internet security). I go online, while I play. Wouldn't I be vulnerable if I turned it off?
The Internet security should be active but the scan running might be interfering.
Make sure the active scan is finished, then play the game. It's ok if the virus program is active in the background, just not actively scanning. Scanning is not a process that happens all the time.
Oh, I thought you meant running the virus scan in the background. Even when it is not actively scanning the screen goes back to desktop. No one else is experiencing this. Maybe it is Windows 10? Thank you so much for taking the time to help me troubleshoot this.
