Sims4 will NOT load from the Origins screen ?

For some unknown reason the Sims 4 will NOT load from the Origins site.  This is the first time it has happened and my girls need my intervention !! I have tried the REPAIR and UPDATE options with NO luck.

I have also attached the DxDiag info too.  I know I have plenty of system resources to play the game, which I have for years, but I have NO idea why it decided to give me crap. Thank You All !!

  • @meshathesim  I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section.  Please try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.

If that doesn't help, please move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play for a bit.  Let me know either way.

Please also let me know if you have a third-party antivirus installed, and which one: there are a couple that are causing problems with Sims 4 right now.

And I'd like to see the driver download page for your computer, but I can't be sure I'm looking at the correct page from the information in your dxdiag.  Go here:

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/desktops

Enter your computer's serial number, select your OS if necessary, and you'll land on the driver download page.  Please link that page here.  It doesn't have any information about your own system, just the model overall.

  • I know I have PLENTY of the requirements filled for running the game, but I still get the blank screen, with music, and have to shut off and restart several times before the game decides to load.  There are times I can leave it running for days and sometimes I can't even get it kickstarted.  I only have about half of the expansions and extras and I use CC too, with W/W as well.  I also did a repair and update too, but no luck.  I can't find what game version I am running either, so help with that would be nice too, Thanks !!

@meshathesim  I've merged your new post with your existing thread from a couple months ago.  The same advice from then applies now: start by disabling Origin in-game, then try a clean user folder, and if neither step helps, please provide a bit more information.

You can see your game version in a file called GameVersion.txt, in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.  But double-check that the file has updated recently, because some antivirus programs have recently been blocking the game's access to that file.
