Something wrong with Task bar, Needs Bar, and Exiting Build/Buy

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.55.105.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just start a game up. The task bar doesn't show pictures, just a blue box. The needs bar is empty, you can see the text at the bottom of the screen. Also, when you are in Build/Buy during live, when you exit, everything (game bar, EVERYTHING) dissapears. You cannot use your (...) button, have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to get out of the game
What happens when the bug occurs? Cannot see your tasks, your needs or use Build/Buy during live mode
What do you expect to see? My tasks, my needs, and to get in and out of B/B without having to exit my whole game
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Newest patch

I had the same CC and mods since FOREVER and always update them with each patch, and never had this problem. I cannot play until I can fix this!

had this same problem and deleted all my mods and its still having the same issue - tried everything, uninstalling to reinstalling, repairing via origin, clearing cache, disabled mods, then deleted my mods and its still doing it - dont know what to do.

  • I had this problem right as I installed Slice of Life. This completely resembles what I have going on. I can't fix it either.

Before you start reinstalling, try to fix it differently.
Go to Documents/ElectronicArts - inside will be The Sims4 folder
Step 1. Rename The Sims4 folder to "The Sims4 old"
Step 2. Fix the game in Origin
    Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Step 3. Turn on the game - a new game folder will be created and you will have two - one old, one new
Step 4. Check if you still have this problem in the newly created game folder. Start a new game with the random sim and check if your game is working now properly.
If everything will be OK let me know and I will describe to you how to recover your all saves and library.

    I don't work for EA
