I am having issues with my sound in the Sims 4. All of a sudden, my sound is super low even when I turn it all the way up. The sound works fine for everything else and I've checked to see if the speaker drivers are updated. I've removed CC, it does the same thing. Repairing the game didn't help. Please someone tell me how to fix it!
@madalaineporter What sound settings do you have in-game? Do you get the same effect if you use a different sound output device, e.g. built-in speakers vs. headphones or earbuds?
It does it whether I have headphones in or just use my laptop speakers. I have my sound settings all all the way up.
When I do that it shows speakers, system sounds, and Microsoft edge. Speakers is all the way up, system sounds is pretty low, and Microsoft edge is at 50%
I also checked turning up system sounds all the way and that didn't fix the issue.
That fixed it!! Thank you so much! I had no idea there would be a separate sound setting for Sims 4 when it was running. Somehow that was turned all the way down. Thanks again!!
Adjusting sound settings, volume mix, outputs, nothing works and this is a comparative observation, as my other games sound fine.
