those specs would max out sims 2 ultimate collection though!

The Sims 4 doesn't require a dedicated card to run; I've used it with a varying amount of machines with very different specs.
- I've used it with a desktop from 2009, with a lower range Intel HD Graphics Card and alpha CC. It ran perfectly, though the game was a bit laggy due to the age of the machine, the CPU, and 3GB of ram. I know that the graphics card wasn't a problem, because it ran Windows 7 with Aero with absolutely no lag, until it was updated to 10.
- I've used it with a laptop from 2009, with an i3 and mid tier Intel HD Graphics Card with no CC and all packs installed. I had minimal lag in the game, but it was slow loading.
- Presently, I run the Sims 4 Base (I switched to Sims 3 as my main game), with the Free Pack, and I plan on purchasing Seasons + Cats & Dogs + Get Together. It has also, an Intel HD Graphics chip, though it's from 2015. I have absolutely no lag in the game when my CC is minimal (I normally run with 18+ GB!).
There was also something wrong in saying it would run Sims 2, as the Sims 2 has issues with many modern cards, and that probably wouldn't be compatible. I recently experienced that issue myself, with all packs and it crashing loading households but showing the UI on the Loading Screen.
