Cannot download the packs I just bought. My order history lists it as 'Completed'. So took my money, but cannot use it. I purchased Cottage Living and Horse Ranch. It WILL NOT download. I have plenty of room. Space is not an issue. The download button just greys out when I click either expansion and then it just refuses to notice I clicked it. I can click around and do other stuff - like spend my cash on a game I can't download. I have tried on my laptop and then I tried on my desktop PC. I play on both - PC for when I can be in the office, Laptop for when I am snuggling my daughter while she sleeps. I play on the laptop far more, so I just poking to see if it'd work.
I have restarted both of my devices. I have repaired my game. I have cleared the Cache of the EA App. This feels like an utter and complete waste of cash. Why will it not download? I have tried from both the Manage button for the Sims 4 and the respective Expansions store pages.
Please, I was so excited. This was supposed to be my early Christmas present from my husband. I've been waiting so LONG for the horses. Why won't it work? Seriously? I have done every fix I could find. If it doesn't work soon, I will be forced to request a refund. I cannot afford to let it just sit there and virtually rot because it won't install anywhere.
UPDATE: So I redid the Sims via reinstall again, and it worked this time. I have 0 idea why I couldn't do it before, or why it just wouldn't download, but the packs appear to be in. Tested it on the PC though, and not my primary Laptop. So hopefully I can get it to work on the laptop. Because I really really just want to play with horses, and sure, I can do it on the PC - but I prefer the laptop.
