Strange white bubbles coming out of my Sim's arm

Hi.  In cottage life one of my Sims has suddenly started having a stream of frothy white bubbles or smoke come out of his left arm.  These  leave a trail behind when he moves.  They persist even when he goes to bed.  Do you know what on earth this is and how do i get rid of it?  Thanks.  Screenshot attached
