Stuck on loading when asking a sim on a date

This started happening the other day, whenever I try to ask a sim on a date using the phone and/or the social interaction it goes to where I can select where I want to go, but then gets stuck on the loading screen. This means I am unable to go on any dates and cannot complete an aspration that I want for my sim. It also means I lose any progress I didn't save before, which was two days worth of progress. I have also tried to repair the game in origin and it hasn't made any progress.
