stuck with the bluff (island bluff) in Winderburg

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.60.54.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? cats & dogs, city living, get together, get to work
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? While playing the game, my Sim got invited to a party at the bluff (island bluff) in Winderburg. The bug happens while trying to travel to the location. My Sims are blocked in the location and I can't play the household. It also happens when trying to visit the location from the world map at anytime during the game, even after restart.
What happens when the bug occurs? The location cannot be opened and it makes a loop back to select people who visit with after the loading.
What do you expect to see? The bluff (island bluff) in Winderburg should open when accessing the map or traveling. It will allow my game to resume, see the party the sim got invited to and be able to bring the Sims back home.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    @CGrant56 Or they can just click on any lot and click the visit button and choose the two sims that are stuck at the Bluffs in order to have them travel to a lot that can actually load.

    They actually do this in the video, but use Alice Kim Lewis to try and enter the Bluffs. They can use the same method to send the sims they can’t load from the home lot somewhere else.

    Hi @crinrict.

    There is no error message but a loop.

    In the recording, I'm trying from the household, then the visit lot, then the build mode but nothing works.

    @chibihappyme @crinrict   Something similar happened in my game for a while.  It was happening any time I tried to get to any lot in Magnolia Promenade but I didn't have any sims on any of those lots at the time.  I could get to the map but not to any lots in either live or build mode and every time I tried, the game just sent me back to the manage worlds screen.  Didn't matter how I tried to get there either.  But in my case, it was the Pre DU patch that caused it and it got fixed with the December patch.  There were a lot of posts from a number of people who couldn't get to certain places but where those places were varied widely.  This may be something similar and is showing up after the January 16 patch but I have not seen any other posts where people are still having this problem so it very well may be something else.  

    @chibihappyme  From the video, I can see that 2 sims are still at the Bluffs.  Are you able to open the home lot and get them home by clicking on the greyed out portraits at the bottom?  You may not be able to if they are the only sims in the household and you can't open the home lot which as far as I can tell, appears to be the case.  There is another way that may work though if all you want to do get your sims to a place you can play them again.  But before you try, you should make a back up of your saves folder and put it somewhere safe just in case. 

    You can try moving the stuck sims out of their home lot by eviction and then putting them back in the same or another lot.  Or you can try merging them with another household in manage worlds and then splitting the new household back up and then moving them back into a lot.  Once you've gotten those two sims out of the Bluffs and back to where you can play them, then try traveling back to see if the lot opens and if it does, you should be ok.  If it doesn't, well, you probably have something else going on.

    @simvasion  Thanks, I didn't know about that one.  I didn't see that video so I'll try and hunt it down.  After all my time playing this game, I'm still learning new things.

    @chibihappyme Going to move this to the tech forum for further troubleshooting. Looks like an issue with the save.

    Let me know if the suggestions don't work and if you're still incapable to travel again to that lot after liberating your Sims.

    @crinrict @CGrant56 @simvasion Thanks for the help. I managed to send my Sims home.

    However I noticed a few things: 1- after they came back home, the welcome wagon appeared at the door again as if it was their first day moving in. Then, I checked the relationship tab of my two "saved" Sims and their neighbors were not there as if they never met before, the other Sims met prior to moving in were still there!

    I also tried opening the bluff in Winderburg from another game save and the loop happened too!

    I will try to play without sending my Sims there for now. Keep me updated if you find solutions.
