'The game failed to save. Error code: 0' appeared when I tried to save the game?

So, the error that I stated in the title appeared when I tried to save the game. I don't know what caused it and before asking this here, I searched online about how to fix it and I carried out the solution. It was okay for a while, then it happened again. My game is currently version 1.39.74.1020, which is not updated to the latest patch yet due to the fact that my internet is kind of slow right now haha. Anyways, it's not fun to play the game if I keep losing my hours of progress. I was building my house for about 2 hours and when I tried to save it, the error appeared and this is not the first time it happened. So far, I think it has been the 5th time.

The things that I suspect that might be causing the error are:

1. Mods

: Broken mods are infamous for causing game corruption but in my case, I don't think mods are the culprit because I have installed Deaderpool's MC Command Center which tells players about the game making new lastException.txt file, which happens if there are broken mods or (rarely) CCs lurking in the players' The Sims 4 file. The notification regarding broken mods didn't appear in my game so I think it's not a problem caused by mods.

2. CC

: I have installed lots of CCs in my game (95% of them are for CAS) because in my opinion, it makes the game much more personalized and fun. I do fear that maybe my CCs are the ones that caused the problem because some of them might be incompatible with the game due to the game being updated from time to time. I've also been wondering if there is a program that can detect broken CC so I went to search for it and found Zerbu's CC Tracker. I heard it had helped lots of people because they can find the broken CC in no haste and without needing to check them one by one but unfortunately, Zerbu had taken his/her page down and it is not available to be downloaded anymore.

3. Cheats

: I'm not quite sure about this but I do have a bit of suspicion regarding using cheats. It would be weird for cheats to be causing such error because they are a part of the game and shouldn't conflict with the coding. The cheats that I always use are bb.moveobjects on, testingcheats on and that's all. Would cheats cause error?

4. Corrupt game save files

: I always use 'Save As' to save my game and they are under a new name each time. I heard from people that using 'Save As' will help to prevent this error but it still happened. I even tried to re-create a fresh The Sims 4 folder (removing my Trays, saves and mods folders) before deleting the whole folder and letting the game create it again when I start the game. I did that already but the problem is still there, which happened after a while.

Well, I do not think it should be caused by cheats. Yes save games can become corrupt, but it is not very usual.

Mods/cc could be a reason though. If this happens often enough, I would try removing all of them to see if the game works better.
For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.

The only 100% sure way to know if it is a mod problem, is removing the mods, starting a new save to make sure nothing is corrupt, and test the game. With a problem like yours that is very time consuming, but it's the only "fireproof" way.

You should also delete the localtumbnail.package from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\
