The sims 4 64 bit won't load due to missing core/activation64.dll

Question

Hello,Recently I had to reset my pc. before this reset my game was running the 64 bit version of the sims 4 just fine. However now I can't get it to load. Well that's not entirely true. I can reinstall the game and load up the TS4X64 just fine. however after closing it and trying to re open it I get a message: The code execution cannot proceed because Core/Activation64.dll wasn not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sims 4 multiple times all with the same result. I have uninstalled and reinstalled origin to no avail. I have looked in the bin file for the 64 bit version of the game there is a Activation64.dll in the core file. I have done no changes to the hardware of my pc, just reinstalled windows. Is there something that i possibly need to download? I have never experienced this problem before please help. Thank you

@jacksgurl87&nbsp; I'm not sure what's going on, to be honest.&nbsp; But as a test, please try disabling any antivirus/firewall you have installed, and see if it helps.

If you get the same error, try repairing in Origin and restarting your computer.&nbsp; And if that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache and then uninstall it "the hard way" and reinstall.&nbsp; This is much more thorough than uninstalling Origin the normal way.

One other thing you can try, although it's not really a solution, is deleting Activation64.dll and then repairing.&nbsp; Even though it would be annoying to have to do this all the time, it could help narrow down the source of the problem.
