I did exactly what you told me to do, I deleted the Sims 4 Folder that the Sims 4 generated, and repaired the game. After it was finished I clicked PLAY and it wouldn't work still. It came up with the SAME error message. "Unable to start: Cannot start because required game data is missing or damaged. Please repair or reinstall the game via origin."
I'm getting concerned now.. Hopefully there is another solution. 😕

Please post a DxDiag:

Do you get any specific code or does it just say that?
Maybe you have to uninstall everything and redo it, I mean the game worked before?
- Uninstall the sims,
- Delete the The Sims folder that was just created
- Manually uninstall Origin (instructions - check where it says "the hard way"),
- Download and reinstall Origin.
- Make sure Origin is white-listed in your security programs
- Make sure Origin is run as administrator (Right click the icon on your desktop, choose settings, choose compatibility, check the bottom box: run as admin)
- Start Origin
- Go to settings and disable automatic updates (if C&D could be the problem)
- Install The Sims 4
- Start the game
- Then you can install the packs, wait with C&D until I checked your dxdiag!
