The Sims 4 continually needs to be repaired.

Game will not launch and I continue to get a pop-up that says: "Repairs needed - Some of your files are corrupted, but a simple repair should do the trick. REPAIR / CLOSE". I have lost count of the number of times I have repaired the game and the number of times I have restarted my laptop. At one point the EA app was entirely gone from my hard drive and I had to reinstall it.

Back story: Yesterday night, 5/28/2024, the game was lagging so I repaired it, and that appeared to help. This afternoon this issue began.

Any suggestions?

    @AmIAProphetYet  Do you use a third-party antivirus, and if so, does it help to set an exception for TS4_DX9_x64.exe?  That's the new executable as of this patch, and some antivirus programs are blocking it, which would explain the need to repair.

    If that's not the issue, please let me know where the game is installed, which you can see in your EA App game library, under Sims 4 > Manage < View properties.
