The Sims 4 Get To Work Expansion Pack not installing.

I have entered the disk and a small window keeps coming up saying that I need to update my sims 4 base game. I have already updated the game and there is no orange game tile to let me know that it has to be updated again. Does anyone know what the problem is??

    Could you post a picture of that message you're getting ? Just upload to some picture sharing site and post the link here.

    Did you start the game at least once after patching ?

    There's a file documents\electronicarts\thesims4\gameversion.txt. Could you open that and see what it says ?
