The Sims 4 goes offline every time it's launched.

My Sims 4 game goes into offline mode every single time the game is launched. I have a stable internet connection and the EA shows I am online before I launch the game. But no matter how many time I restart the game, it always goes into offline mode. I can't remember when this first started but it has been going on for a long time now. Originally, it wasn't so bothersome. Any SDX drops that wouldn't come in would be added once an update came out. But now that there is a login event going on, it has been interfering with that and causing me to miss rewards I should other wise have gotten. This has become frustrating and a hindrance.

@Lizzy_Stark18  The game's program files, as in, what the EA App installs, are contained within a "The Sims 4" folder, wherever you told the App to install.  Inside "The Sims 4" is a Game folder, and inside that is a Bin folder.  Inside Bin are multiple executables, files with the extension .exe, for example TS4_DX9_x64.exe.  If you're not seeing file extensions, you can change that under View.

The point is, in your antivirus, either set exceptions for all the .exe files inside Bin, or set an exception for the entire Bin folder.

  • @Lizzy_Stark18  Does it help to run the EA App as an admin?  Right-click the desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator."  And try putting the App in offline mode as well; I'm not sure whether this would interfere with the login event rewards, but it might stop the game itself from going offline.

If this doesn't help, what antivirus do you use, and have you set exceptions for every .exe in the Bin folder of the game's program files?  You might be able to exclude the entire Bin folder, depending on the antivirus.
