The Sims 4 in Fullscreen

The Sims 4 at Fullscreen doesn't show unless Windows resolution is equal than game's resolution. So, my Windows resolution normally is 1920x1080 but I play TS4 at 1366x768 so, if I want to play the game, I have first to change Windows resolution to 1366x768 in order to play in fullscreen mode, no problems when I play Windowed. There's any way I can fix it?

    Hello,

I would perhaps try the game at medium settings at 1920x1080 and see if the graphics are bearable enough to play the game. If not, I guess you'll have to stick with the Windows resolution switching.

This issue may also be related to the fact you're using Bootcamp, as this can cause weird Windows quirks. I'd perhaps try the Mac version (free if you already own the PC version) when it comes out on 17th February 2015, and see whether you can get better performance at all.

I hope this helps and keep simming,

    Hello,

Is there a reason why you cannot play the game at the native 1920x1080 resolution of your monitor?

A rule of thumb is that its generally better to play games at the screen's native resolution, even if that involves lowering the game settings a little bit.

I hope this helps and keep simming,

I play with a non-native resolution just in order to improve performance, but of course I can play at 1920x1080, but only with lower FPS and lower performance 😕mileysad:

    Hello,

Well as you have already experienced and indicated, there are issues when not playing games at the native resolution, which is the reason why its recommended to stick with native resolutions in the game. I guess you have to choose between the native resolution and lower the settings a bit, or play at a non-native resolution and have to fiddle with the Windows screen resolution.

Out of curiosity, what are your system specs? What settings are you currently playing the game at?

(If you don't know your system specs, then you could post a DxDiag report instead - Instructions can be found here. If you are having trouble pasting the full report here, try splitting it into multiple messages, or use pastebin.com)

I hope this helps and keep simming,

Sure, I play in a Late-2013 iMac, using BootCamp, the system specs are:

    Intel Core i5-3330S

    16 GB of RAM

    Nvidia GeForce GT 640M

100GB of free space in the BootCamp partition

Now I'm playing with game settings at High, with antialiasing at Low (I'm used to have antialiasing turned off, my old computer was so bad lol) with great results (in a 1366x768 resolution)

Thank you! I tried at 1920x1080 and I set the "3D scene resolution" to Medium and the game runs smoothly. I also deactivated Post Processing Effects (I hate the distant blur of the game) and game runs nicely!

I'll try the Mac version, hope they did a better job than TS3 on Mac! 😕mileytongue:

Thank you again and happy Simming!
