The Sims 4 keeps uninstalling on its own!

Okay, so I installed Cottage Living on Thursday, played for a while, then turned off my computer. Next day I turn it on and notice the shortcut to The Sims 4 is missing from the desktop area. I try to load the game thru Origin and it says something about not being able to move files from the Legacy Edition, but that makes no sense since I never had the Legacy Edition installed on my PC, since it more than meets the requirements for the regular version. So, I uninstall the game and all the packs and install it again. When I load it up it says I'm missing some packs and if I play my save file the game may crash. Which is weird because I reinstalled all the packs I own and my save game was created using them. I had to remove the game and install it once more so that it recognized all my packs. I played for the whole day and turned off the computer. Today I turn it on and same thing happens again! The shortcut is missing and I get an error trying to load it from Origin. I'm currently reinstalling the game for the third time. What's going on? I don't have any new software on the PC, the only thing that changed was getting Cottage Living! I never had this issue before with the other packs!

My OS is Windows 10 Home - 21H1 and Origin version 10.5.101.48500 - 769396.
