Mods unavailable in game

I am unable to access mods in game and cannot find the mod file in the sims folder. Mods aren’t even shown as available in cas “content” filter which proves my game doesn’t recognize them either way.
I’ve tried installing the game on different devices but no changes.
I don’t know if it’s a bug or something else.

  • RebeccaRob08  Here's how to find the folder the game is reading:

Open exactly that folder, up to "The Sims 4," and the Mods folder inside is where your mods and custom content need to be.

If this doesn't help, please post a screenshot of the contents of the folder that holds your mods and cc, as in, I'd like to see the file names and sizes.  Include the address bar, above the list of files, in the screenshot.

Yes, I do. The problem is that the option in game and in cas to filter the mods is nonexistent.

It took me a while to get to and now the files are arranged really weirdly after downloading the game ? I don’t understand anything that is going on and feel really lost here.

    What can I do ?

  • RebeccaRob08  You've installed the game into Documents, which is a problem for various reasons. and should be addressed first  So please copy the saves and Tray folders here, as well as Screenshots if you care about those, to another location on your computer (not in Documents, but the desktop is fine).  Then uninstall the game through the EA App, and clear the App's cache:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Restart your computer and install Sims 4 elsewhere.  The default C:\Program Files\EA Games is fine, as is a custom location as long as it's NOT in Documents or Desktop.

Once you've done that, start the game again and confirm that the user folder is still in the same location.  Open that exact location and look for a Mods folder.  If you're not sure whether you're in the right folder, or you don't see a Mods folder, you can open the location manually.  Click This PC in the left panel of a File Explorer window, double-click the C drive, and open Users > your username > Documents etc. from there.
