The Sims 4 "Not Responding" when trying to load family

    Yeah I only have my one family in the apartments lol. Just her and her 2 cats. >.> I do not see any lastCrash.txt files. I see lastException text files. I have 5 of those it seems. Also, the issue happened every time I clicked that family. I would click her in her apartment, click play, and then during the plumbob load screen it would spin for maybe 5 seconds then stop and the game would go to Not Responding. And this is every time I tried to load my game and play my family.

    Also, I am going to chalk this up as user error. While waiting for your reply, I attempted a second resetting the game to factory settings without reinstalling. Took everything out, slowly added stuff one by one. I added just the .sav of my game and it actually ran the saved family! Then I added all my save files in the folder and the save file still ran. I wanted to know the reason why it wasn't working, so I readded the Tray folder too. Still worked. I readded option.ini and the game still ran. I don't have any form of mods or custom content, so I never readded anything else. Is there anything else I have to add back to my game folder that's new? I might have done it incorrectly the first time. I'm only human after all. ^^;

    So, to recap!

    Solution: Doing a second resetting the game to factory settings without reinstalling worked! I only re added my .sav file, my Tray folder, and options.ini and my game is still running smoothly once more.

    Thank you, crinrict for your hard word and dedication. ^-^ Now, if only I could lecture and train my pets...then we would be 100% fixed! :3

I didn't have any issues loading the family (if I picked the correct one but since you have only one on that save, I assume it is).

Is it on loading with the family each time or does it happen after a while ?

Do you have any lastCrash.txt files in your doc folder you could attach ? Either attach as .rar file or c/p within spoiler tags.

      maybe some cache file was corrupted. Glad it works now.
