The Sims 4-persistent technical issues
Hello,
I am contacting you regarding persistent technical problems with The Sims 4 that have made the game extremely difficult to use despite extensive troubleshooting.
I have already performed extensive troubleshooting, including reinstalling and repairing the game, clearing EA App data/cache, reinstalling required Visual C++ components, checking and repairing Windows system files with SFC and DISM, testing the game with completely fresh user data, and troubleshooting my Documents/OneDrive configuration.
I also investigated EA App logs. The game is associated with my Epic Games account because I previously claimed The Sims 4 content through Epic. The logs show EA App redirecting the launch through Epic/EAEgsProxy. Launching directly through EA App was unsuccessful, while launching through Epic Games eventually allowed the game to start.
After resolving that issue, I performed further testing with a completely fresh The Sims 4 user folder. The game can reach the main menu with a clean profile, but enabling/adding custom content causes extremely long or apparently infinite loading, even when testing with minimal custom content.
At this point I have spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting a product and DLC that I have paid for instead of being able to use them normally. Reinstalling and repairing the software repeatedly has not provided a reliable solution.
I would therefore like this case to be reviewed beyond basic troubleshooting. Please let me know whether there is a known issue affecting the current PC version of The Sims 4 and whether a fix is being worked on.
Please do not respond only with standard instructions to reinstall or repair the game, as these troubleshooting steps have already been completed multiple times.
Thank you.
