The Sims 4 will not install

Question

I recently bought The Sims 4 on EA, so I straight away downloaded it from the website. After waiting four and a half hours, it finally got to 100% and I began the instalment. However after about 10 minutes, a pop-up arrived saying: "Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (1602)" I've tried to install the game 5 times now, during which I've restarted my computer, turned it off and back on again and read through hundreds of other forums, none of which helped. Please help me! It's so frustrating!

That's NOT TRUE Microsoft has forbidden the usage of both 64 bit and the 32 bit redistributable versions 2010 and 2013 on a pc because if it has either the updated versions it will not allow use of any of older versions

As far as I can see this game is corrupt EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE from downloading to signing in and the game is forever installing/ updating it self, then a dumb messages pops up and says something went wrong during the installation. Please reinstall Origin.

I have MANY TIMES over BEEN EVERYWHERE trying to find out why and what the hell is going on, as far as I can see it everything I have done is simply ending in a cul de sac/ a dead end

Sorry I bought this game, and the silly way of reinstalling all the time, I didn't know it would do this

I have a windows 7 home premium sp1 64 bit, amd Athlon 245 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTS 4500, and I thought I meet the requiments to play this

@KoizumiMichiko&nbsp;Microsoft still offers download of&nbsp;C++ 2010 and 2013 on their official website and as far as I am aware has not 'forbidden' the use of these.&nbsp;

I can't download the 2010 version because apparently I have a more up-to-date version, and I have successfully installed the 2013 32 bit but when I try to download the 64 bit a message comes up saying: "SETUP FAILED One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry setup. For more information see the log file. 0x80070652 - Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install."
