Yea, i checked the resolution, and I only have discord and Spotify. Okay yea I'll have to check the ea overlay tho.
For now I'll probably use the windowed full-screen -mode.
I mostly build, so i haven't really checked it in game mode yet. I'll have to see about that tho.

@Banskuzz The Discord overlay may be the problem here, or Discord in general. I remember a couple of years ago the app was causing slowdowns while gaming on many systems for no apparent reason. I haven't heard of Spotify causing problems, but it's worth disabling too, as a test.
