The Sims Missing Folder! Please Help

So first...hear me out. I'm really fluent in doing computer things.I'm not the type of simmer that asks for help with everything. But today, I just wanted to do some casual checks on my cc folder. It's very big (Like 22 000 cc) and on the last time I wanted to just check the cc that are outdated, but taking that aside, i just noticed that my ENTIRE "mods" folder is COMEPLETLY GONE. I have the "game" folder on one disk and "electronic arts" on another but it hasnt been a problem so i just keep them on different disks.but now.. ITS REALLY COMPLETLY GONE, LIKE NO TRACE OF IT. Yes i have onedrive on. And yes . My mods folder is conected to my onedrive. Two days ago I  also just tried to EDIT the one drive preferences (I Turned them off because they were giving back some cc i just delated.) And then, i was given a error Messaging that I can't or something i don't know now.so i kept them conected. So thinking about it- it was still conected.but now... on the onedrive there wasn't ALSO even a trace of my mods folder. Next thing I noticed was that also like a 4000 pieces of cc was in my bin folder, i didn't deleted them.So i tried giving them back to other folder on my pc and it was succesful.second important thing is that when I entered programs that previously i left on the mods folder opened also hadn't been shoving any signs that this folder exsists.the third thing is when I tried to open my sims there was 20 GB sims 4 update going on my origin.it made me Concerto because... really? an 20 GB update??also the most important thing to say now is the fact i HAVENT BEEN TOUCHING THIS FOLDER.i didn't deleeted it.also my onedrive is now kinda crazy because it shows me now only some errors. It's like... broken...

So.. can anyone tell me what happened? Am i did something wrong? I would really like to hear some opinions of helping because you know... IT HAD 22 000 cc. This isn't just some that you can download in one day

I really will be happy if anyone helps me to do something about it.

    @ErikoSakurai  Without knowing what error(s) you saw and are seeing now, I can only speculate.  So please post screenshots or the exact text of the error(s).  Please also let me know how full OneDrive is.

    If OneDrive is too full to host all of your custom content, that may have been the original error.  When you tell OneDrive to stop syncing, whether overall or just one folder, it tends to remove the local files and keep only the data in OneDrive.  But this doesn't work if it can't upload all the data and may delete it (in part or in full) instead.  When I read your post, this was my first guess as to what happened.  Like I said though, I can only speculate without more information.
