Hi, i am hoping that someone can help me as I have yet to see anyone else with my issue. I have the EA App and EA Play. I am trying to launch the SIMS 4 but everytime i try i just get the error message that: The Sims4 EA Play edition is already running. I got the sims 4 before i had ea play and I have checked my task manager and it is defintely not running. i have also tried clearing my cache and several other options. Please someone help!

@SunRaye29 I spoke with EA's customer service and they said it's a "known issue" and that they're working on it. They couldn't give a timeframe either.

I'm having this problem as well sadly.. I've tried restarting, but it's still not working and I don't see the game open in the task manager

Good luck. I spoke with the worthless customer service people and was basically just told to wait for an update and it should be fixed then. No word on when or if this update was update was actually happening. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Cleared the cache. All of the basic troubleshooting steps that I could have done (and did) without even contacting customer service.

And did you try playing through Origin? I linked a post with an Origin installer as well.

If neither one helps (or helped), try playing in a new admin Windows account. Make it a local account, as in, don't sign into OneDrive, and don't sync with any other services you normally use.

I am having the same issue unfortunately and it is december. ☹️
I have tried all the extra steps but nothing nothing seems to work

@galateanyx Did you specificially try playing in a new admin Windows account? If that doesn't or didn't help, please let me know what antivirus you use.

What about with Mac? These instructions are for windows computers.
