The spices at the Spice Market

Question

&nbsp;I am wondering if the spices bought at the spice market are supposed to do anything. I bought curry powder and wasabi, and have a level 10 cook. If I take them out of my inventory my only option is to put them back. I have tried clicking on them while cooking, after cooking, nothing. Am I missing something?

They're for the new recipes that come with the game.&nbsp;
