Time and Sims freeze. yes, both freeze :(

Hey, i have an Issue that is similar to this Issue.

Unfortunately, none of the tips have helped me.

I have been dealing with this for about 2 years now.

Issue

When i play in any Household really, most of the time, no matter the household, my time and sims start freezing. When i pause and play, they do part of whatever task they were doing (like walking towards an object they want to use), but then they just freeze, and so does time. It slows down for 5 seconds and then completely stops until i pause-play it (after which, the issue continues). When i restart it, it works for maybe 2 minutes in that Household and if i haven't played that Household it occured with for a month or so, it sometimes even works for 30 minutes (hooray). I tried finding people who could maybe dig something out of my LastException.txt before coming here, but most of the information i have found was about sims freezing but time continuing. In my case, Time freezes and Sims don't do the task they're supposed to and just stare around in space. It affects all sims, not just the one i'm playing. It does NOT reset itself eventually.

  • @PrincessKarma I testplayed a couple of your saves, but could not replicate the issue. I don't have CD pack, so could not load those saves.

When you created a new save, did you do so in your old The Sims 4 folder? Is it the save named fhjb nfgvbn (0000000b.save with Charlotte Palm)?

If you, for testings sake, create a new folder, as well as a new save in it; does the issue occur there too?

Here is how. Do not move anything over from your old folder, until you have made a new save in the new folder, and random sim(s) in CAS, and played for awhile, doing all the things that previously triggered the issue. All your saves will be safe in your old folder, this is just for testing. Please report back whether it does or not.
