Time glitch Sims 4

I am having difficulty with the Sims 4, Every time I play there is a time glitch. My sim can spend hours doing the same thing, her needs still decrease and I cant even pause the game. You can't even quit until the glitch is over. Once the glitch is over the game goes back to the time when the glitch started however the needs are still decreased. I seem to get about 3 or 4 time glitches in one sim day.

This has completely ruined all gameplay for me and I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to fix it. I have already cleared my cache and repaired the game several times, its a shame as I was looking for to getting the get to work expansion pack, which I now wont be getting until I can solve this issue ☹️
