Hi, I keep getting a Error to download legacy edition when I don't need to. I am playing on windows 10. Also a couple days ago I played sims just fine. I do not understand why I keep getting this error.
@KennaKilla22 It's possible that your antivirus has deleted or blocked TS4_x64.exe, which would trigger Origin's prompt to download the Legacy Edition. Please look for the .exe, inside the game's installed files, and let me know whether you still have it. Unless you changed the default install location in Origin, the full file path will be:
Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
If you don't see the .exe, try repairing: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. If that doesn't work, temporarily disable your antivirus and try again.
If this is the issue, i'd also like to know what antivirus program you run.
