Ever since the new patch to Sims 4 (prior to June 23), I have tragic clowns everywhere. Most are not wearing the makeup, but do have the hairstyle. They are mainly females wearing glasses walking around crying. About 10 of them appeared in my retail shop and I had my sim kicking them out because everyone was too sad to purchase anything. What's with all the clowns?
My sims cannot clean the bakery counters in their retail shop. When I click on the object and press "clean", the sim waves its arms and a bubble appears over their heads with the blue footprints and a red "x" through it meaning something or someone is blocking the counter. Nothing is in front of the counter. When I close the store the sims can't clean the counters unless I start moving them (the counters) around until they hit the sweet spot and then they get cleaned. Please fix this.

The clowns only appeared AFTER the patch to fix the problem. My game has been updated since that patch. Dumb question: so am I going to have to start a completely new game from scratch?
Take note of their names and delete them from the household manager.
Might best to delete all unhoused Sims you don't care about. If they still appear, please report back in the bug forum
I only saved my original 20 generation family but deleted all my games, deleted the localthumbnailcache and started with a blank slate. But I got in return: The Goths, The Landgraabs, and The Pancakes families who where not in any of my other games. 🙂

I'm clown hair free now 🙂 and they must have fixed all the townies having black hair, 'cause mine mostly have red hair lol
