Easiest way I've found to transfer game saves and other Sims 4 files to a new computer is to copy the whole Sims 4 folder.
1. Go to your Electronic Arts folder - C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts
2. Right-click to highlight the Sims 4 folder and select Copy.
3. Paste it to a USB key to help you transfer the files to you new computer.
Once transferred, you'll want to copy either the whole Sims 4 folder to your Electronic Arts folder. - C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts
Or by copying specific folders and files:
- Options.ini (User game settings)
- Tray Folder (Sims/Houses/Commercial lots and rooms)
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Saves Folder
(leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave. It is not used anymore.)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, and makeup
- Mods (Put these back one by one to make sure they all still work)
