Traveling to lots boots back to map/crashes (no Error Code)

Issue

  • My Sim gets invited somewhere but instead of going there, my game just loads back to the maps
  • My Sims wants to travel somewhere but the map just reloads. 

There's no error messages showing and the game crashes often.

Cause

This seems to be cause by the same thing as the following issues

The game doesn't fully patch/install, leaving the game incomplete and causing issues

Solution

  • Close the game
  • Right-Click on the Game in Origin
  • Hit Repair Game

Please post here if this doesn't help you. If you get an error code in the form of xxx:xxxxxxxx:xxxxxx when booted back to the map, then this is not your issue. Please create a new thread and post a screenshot of your error code. As those are often mod related, do make sure to check your mods first.

    Product: The Sims 4
    Platform:PC
    Which language are you playing the game in? English
    How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
    What is your current game version number? 1.62.67.1020
    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs and Get to Work.
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am not sure, it happens when I try to go into my clinic or try to buy it.
    What happens when the bug occurs? I try to go into my vet clinic and when it changes to the loading screen it will load for some time then glitch and go back to the screen where all the towns are. This has happened before, but when going to the club or gym. I can go back to my house but I can never go to the vet nor visit one.
    What do you expect to see? I expect to see directions on how to fix this and how to get into my clinic, so then I can play and start working at the clinic.
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    @Dr_Jack16 Are you getting an erorr message ? If not, try repairing your game through Origin.

    Close your game first.
