Tray problems
I found a sim I liked online so I put the necessary files into my tray folder but the sims isn't showing up in my library.
I figured it out, I had to type the name of the character to find them.

Enable the "show modified objects" option in your library.
Of course, what you will see can be dissimilar to what you've have downloaded because it will be deprived of CC and this beautiful simmie from the photo can even be bald. CC should be downloaded separately from the links indicated by the author of this sim and inserted into the mods folder.
I don't work for EA I don't see a show modified objects option.

On the left side - in "Advanced" below the "Newes"
I don't have an English version of the game so I don't know if you have word latest or newest I don't have that option in my library under advance I only have include custom content and that's it.
Good to know - in my version of the game it is translated as Show Modified Objects. Do you still don't see these sims in the library when you enable this option?
If you do not see it means that after unpacking the downloaded pack you had skipped some file pasting it into the library

I've had the same problem but with a house, there was no expansion packs needed. Everything is in my tray and it's not in my gallery. It's very frustrating I spent all day yesterday trying to figure it out. Please help!!!

Also, I'm having this problem on a MacBook. I'm going to rewatch a few videos and see if it works.
