I was having trouble with my game on Tuesday. I ended up replacing the App and still, although the game was on, allegedly, I had nothing on the screen. I came here for help and discovered the answer, which was to refresh my game folder. D'oh. I knew that, but for some reason it escaped me for a time. Slowly, I was able to bring my Mods, Tray and my saves over to the new game folder. Curiously, my Mods folder was devoid of two key mods. MCCC 2025.4 and Road to Fame v0.5_D10
Without those, my Rock Star isn't. I reinstalled new copies of both. Before I brought my saves folder over, I made certain to reset the settings that got lost somewhere into the ether . . .before I moved my saves from the old to the new. (At least my brain was on top of it at that moment.)
Still, I couldn't get in when the test save opened up easily. Then it occurred to me, to swap the backup saves file for the one I pulled from the old game folder. I did notice, for some reason, the Scratch folder inside the saves folder, that wasn't in the backup folder. At any rate, it worked. I was finally able to play my game for a bit.
The bonus in all of this, is that my calendar was still where I'd left it, so I wasn't going backward in time. Erik was still afflicted. I sent him to Innisgreen to find Care Ren once again. That's when I realized, I had been cheated of some of the gameplay. And I have pictures of new stuff that occurred. Now, I just need to know if I should go ahead and edit my latest story update to reflect those changes.
Just looking for a little bit of advice, if you please.
