So, I recently just built my new PC, installed AVG, & Malwarebytes.
I installed The Sims 4, and I encounter an issue that I can't seem to fix myself.
Unable To Connect To EA Servers issue, not allowing me to load the game.
I've given permissions toa good portion of the files, and I've always turned off Firewall to see if that'd fix it.
NO LUCK.
Really, what should my next step from here be?
Can you try again to open your game ? It seems to be resolved.
Is anyone else currently having problems connecting to the Origin Server? I've tried some of the usual fixes but no luck so far. I was going to contact their tech support on chat but the estimated wait time is 379 minutes!
@RandomBuzziness Yes, it seems to be a common issue right now. Try clearing Origin's cache:

You can also try flushing your DNS cache:

If these steps don't help, you might need to wait until the issue is fixed on EA's end.
@puzzlezaddict, thanks so much for the quick reply! I gave up on trying to connect directly thru Origin (numerous attempts!) and just tried to launch TS4 using the Windows start menu. The game did load, much slower than usual, and in the process am now connected to Origin. Something must be going on, though... a 379 minute wait for a tech support chat?
